Support & safety
What support will never ask
The complete list of things genuine Kit Pay support never asks for — so anyone who asks has identified themselves as a scammer.
Support impersonation is the most efficient scam there is: instead of breaking security, the scammer asks you to hand it over, politely, with a logo. The defence is a short list you can hold in your head. Genuine Kit Pay support never asks for any of the following — so a request for any one of them ends the conversation, instantly, no matter how helpful or urgent the person sounds.
Never asked for, in any form
- Your wallet PIN — not to "verify" you, not to "fix" a payment, not partially, not ever. Your PIN approves payments; it identifies you to no one.
- Your password, or a one-time code from an SMS or authenticator app. Codes exist to be entered by you into your own app — anyone asking you to read one out is harvesting it mid-attack.
- A recovery code, or anything from your account-recovery process.
- A payment — to "verify your account", "release funds", "reverse a transfer", "pay a processing fee", or any variation. Genuine processes never require money to fix your money.
- Remote access to your phone, or installation of any screen-sharing or remote-access app "to help you".
- Your identity documents through chat, email, or social media. Where verification exists, it happens inside the app itself.
And support never arrives like this
Kit Pay support does not cold-call you, does not take requests by email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, or social media, and does not message you first demanding urgent action. Account support happens inside the app, from your signed-in session — how to get help describes the real channels. A caller who "already knows" details about you proves nothing: leaked and guessed details are the standard costume of this scam.
If someone tried this on you, report it from inside the app — even a failed attempt is a pattern someone else's report will complete. If you already shared something, act in this order: change what was exposed, review your sessions, then report.
Frequently asked questions
The caller knew my name and phone number — does that make it real?
No. Names and numbers leak and circulate everywhere. The test is never what they know; it is what they ask for — and the list above is what genuine support never asks for.
Can support ever call me back if I ask them to?
Treat any voice call claiming to be Kit Pay support as illegitimate. The support design is in-app, written, and attached to your session — precisely so you never have to judge a stranger's voice.
