Report abuse or suspicious activity

How to report scams, impersonation, or suspicious behaviour from inside Kit Pay, and what your report actually does.

Every scammer depends on their targets staying silent — embarrassment, doubt, and "maybe it was nothing" are their infrastructure. Reporting from inside Kit Pay dismantles it: reports are securely tied to your account and the thing you are reporting, and reports from different people about the same actor add up into a picture no single report could paint.

What to report

  • Fraud and scam attempts — succeeded or not. Failed attempts are intelligence; report them too.
  • Impersonation of Kit Pay, of support, or of people you know.
  • Pressure, threats, or extortion involving money.
  • Harassment or abuse in conversations — report a conversation covers that path and how it respects encryption.
  • Anything that felt engineered — you do not need to name the scam to report the behaviour.

How to report

  1. Report from inside the app — from the conversation, the payment, or through Help — so the report is attached to your account and to the exact thing you mean.
  2. Describe what happened in your own words, with the specifics that make patterns visible: what was asked for, what was promised, what name they used.
  3. If a conversation is the evidence, you choose what to include: specific messages you select and explicitly consent to share go to authorized moderators, and the rest stays sealed.
  4. If money moved, also work through what to do about a payment problem — the report and the payment problem are handled on their own tracks.

What happens to a report

Reports are reviewed, and repeated reports about one account matter in aggregate — patterns of behaviour are what reviews act on. You will not receive a case file on another user, and action on someone else's account is not announced to you; what you get is the thing reporting exists for: the pattern on record, working against the actor.

Frequently asked questions

Will I be told what action was taken?

Outcomes on another person's account are not reported back — that protects everyone's account privacy, including yours in reverse. Your report still did its work the moment it entered the pattern.

Can I report something that happened outside Kit Pay?

Report what touches Kit Pay: the account that contacted you, the payment involved, the conversation where it happened. For losses beyond Kit Pay, helping someone who was scammed covers the wider steps, including the police.
