Report a conversation

Private conversation is a feature; being trapped alone with abuse is not. If a Kit Pay conversation turns into harassment, fraud, impersonation, or pressure for money, you can report it from inside the app — and you should, early, because reports are how bad actors lose the anonymity they depend on.

What deserves a report

• Scams and fraud attempts — fake sellers, advance-fee stories, anyone impersonating Kit Pay staff or a person you know.
• Pressure around money: threats, extortion, refusing to let a "no" stand.
• Harassment and abuse of any kind, money-related or not.
• Suspicious behaviour you cannot quite name — a report you were unsure about is better than a scam that succeeded.

How reporting works

1. Report from inside the app — from the conversation or through Help — so the report is securely tied to your account and the conversation you mean.
2. Say what happened in your own words. Specifics help: what was asked for, what was claimed, what felt wrong.
3. Choose what evidence to include. You can select specific messages and explicitly consent to share their content with the moderators who review reports — only what you select is shared, and your consent is recorded.
4. Reports are reviewed, and patterns matter — several reports about one account paint a picture no single report can.
5. If money already moved, also follow what to do about a payment problem — reporting the conversation and reporting the payment do different work.

Reporting and encryption

Kit Pay chat is built for end-to-end encryption, and reporting is designed to coexist with that rather than quietly undo it. Ordinary messages remain sealed to the infrastructure; when you report, you — a participant who can already read the conversation — may select specific messages and explicitly consent to share their content with authorized moderators, and that consent is part of the report itself. Encryption keeps outsiders out; it has never meant the people inside a conversation must stay silent about abuse. Report the conversation, and where it belongs to a wider pattern — a scam ring, a fake business — report the account too.
