Choosing who to pay

Pick a contact the app has matched, or enter a phone number directly. Names help you aim, but the number is what the payment travels to — so when a friend changes numbers, update your phone book before you pay, not after. If you are unsure you have the right person, ask them to send you a payment request instead: their request arrives from their real account, which settles the question.

Notes are for future you

A payment note costs nothing now and answers questions later — which delivery, whose school fees, what month's rent. Both histories keep the note with the entry, so the conversation about a payment never depends on anyone's memory.

The review screen is the safety net

Before anything moves, the app shows you the recipient and amount and asks you to approve. Sensitive money actions require approval tied to what you are doing, using your wallet PIN or supported device security — the approval belongs to this payment, with these details, and cannot be reused for another. Completed transfers move real money into another person's wallet, and Kit Pay cannot reach in and pull money back out. Those few seconds of reading are your protection.

After you approve

• The transfer is confirmed and appears in both histories as one double-entry ledger record.
• The recipient can use the money straight away — there is no holding period between Kit Pay users.
• If chat is active between you, the payment shows up in the conversation, keeping money and context together.
