Managing notifications

A payment app's notifications are worth taming rather than silencing: buried among the chatter of every other app, a Kit Pay notification can be the first sign that money arrived — or the first sign that something needs your attention. Here is how the pieces fit.

Two layers, two controls

• Inside the app, notifications collect in their own list. They wait there whether or not your phone showed a banner, and you can mark them read one by one or all at once.
• On your phone, the operating system decides how Kit Pay may interrupt you — banners, sounds, badges, or silence. Those controls live in your phone's own settings, per app, and they never delete anything from the in-app list.

The practical setup for most people: let money notifications through, and check the in-app list occasionally regardless. Even a phone on silent keeps the list complete, so nothing about your money depends on catching a banner in the moment.

Notifications worth reading twice

Money movements you did not expect, sign-ins you did not make, and security changes you did not request are exactly the notifications that exist for your protection. If one surprises you, go straight into the app and look at your history and your sessions — the notification points; the app itself is the evidence.

If notifications stop arriving

Check your phone's per-app notification settings first — Kit Pay may have been muted there, sometimes by a battery-saver feature rather than by you. The in-app list is the reliable fallback: whatever your phone suppressed still lands there. If the list itself seems stale, make sure the app is up to date and has been opened recently, since phones can pause background activity for apps left closed a long time.
