Proof of payment scanning

How the coming bank-deposit flow verifies your deposit slip, and why evidence beats promises when crediting wallets.

The second half of the coming bank-deposit flow is proof: after paying in at the bank, you capture the proof of payment in the app, and the deposit is verified against that evidence before your wallet is credited. It is the step that replaces "trust me, I deposited" with a checked document.

Why proof is part of the design

A payment system that credits wallets on claims invites two disasters at once: fraudsters fabricating deposits, and honest mistakes credited to the wrong people. Verifying proof closes both. Your slip carries what actually happened — where, when, how much, and the reference tying it to your wallet — and verification confirms the claim and the evidence agree before money appears. When they do not agree, the system fails closed: the deposit waits for resolution instead of guessing in anyone's favour, including yours. Slower on a messy day, but never wrong at your expense.

Getting a clean capture, when the time comes

  • Photograph the whole document, flat, in decent light — corners in frame, no thumb over the numbers.
  • Make sure the reference, amount, and date are legible in the image; if you cannot read them, verification cannot either.
  • Capture it promptly while you are still at hand to redo a blurry shot.
  • Keep the paper afterwards anyway — keeping deposit records explains the habit.

Proof stays between you and the system

Proof of payment is captured in the app, for verification. It is never something you send to a person: no staff member, agent, or helper legitimately collects deposit slips by chat, WhatsApp, or email. Anyone asking you to send proof outside the app is building a scam from your own paperwork — decline and report it.

Frequently asked questions

What if my proof is rejected once the rail is live?

A failed verification means the evidence and the claim did not line up — often a capture problem. Recapture carefully, and if it persists, ask through Help in the app with your slip details at hand.

Can I email my deposit slip to Kit Pay support?

No. Proof is captured inside the app as part of the deposit flow, and support itself lives inside the app. Nobody legitimately collects slips over email or chat apps.
